It seems plausible that every show from Johnny Cash's 1973 spring residence in Las Vegas was recorded from the soundboard. A reel-to-reel tape of both (early and late) shows on May 5 surfaced in 2014. Whether recordings of the remaining shows have survived is not known. The early show included a brief appearance by John Carter Cash, including a short duet with his father.
Two days later, Johnny Cash appeared at Columbia Records' A Week to Remember event in Los Angeles, where apologized for the way the desert air in Vegas had ruined his voice.
